2017 FEDERAL BUDGET OVERVIEW

The March 22, 2017 Budget may well be one to be remembered for what it doesn’t contain in relation to the theme: Building a Strong Middle Class.
There are few new tax changes the middle class will benefit from – simply some tweaks of existing provisions. The second theme in the document speaks to the Case for Innovation in a time of great economic change.
Sadly, there are no tax credits to offset income taxes paid by employers who hire people with “new economy” skills or to encourage investments by new entrepreneurs with great ideas to invest in new capital as they build forward in a new economy.
